Kids These Days - Nevin Harper, Ph.D.

Nevin Harper offers a form of mental health counseling for youth called “outdoor therapy,” which focuses on immersion in nature as a means of healing. He shifted over to this line of work after having an epiphany about the state of modern medicine — that despite the significant number of healthcare services and medication, along with awareness about the crisis facing children and teens, “kids are getting worse.” The book he wrote, “Kids These Days,” illustrates the failures of the conventional model of treatment as well as societal factors worsening the behaviors of, and struggles facing, younger generations.
