Washington State DOH Webinar - What Parents Need To Know About COVID-19 Vaccines For Children Under 5

The FDA will consider authorizing the COVID-19 vaccine for children under 5 this spring. If they authorize it, every child 6 months and older will likely become eligible for a COVID-19 vaccine. Parents and caregivers have questions. How safe is the vaccine for this younger age group? How should we prepare them for it?

The panel of medical experts will answer as many questions submitted in advance by the audience as possible and discuss:

• What caregivers need to know about COVID-19, the vaccine and how it affects children between six months and five years of age based what we know now
• How COVID-19 is impacting unvaccinated children
• The latest guidance on the COVID-19 vaccines for children
• How caregivers can talk to their children to address their concerns
