What Happened in Ottawa - Freedom Convoy 2022
On January 28, 2022, the first wave of Canadian truckers arrived in Ottawa for what was arguably the most important and most successful citizen protest of the COVID era. Predictably, the news media in the US and elsewhere ignored it, and the state-controlled Canadian news media presented the broad-based coalition as “enemies of the state.”
What Happened in Ottawa documents the heroic efforts of Canadians during this dark time, efforts that brought hope to everyone around the world who was watching. Despite physical violence against the peaceful demonstrators and brutal legal and economic assaults on the truckers and their leaders, sanity prevailed: the government was forced to drop many restrictions and vaccine mandates, and Justin Trudeau, who led the attacks, had to step down in disgrace after nine years as Prime Minister.
