Guest Monica Smit is founder of the influential freedom organization Reignite Democracy Australia. A key Australian activist, she became a political prisoner when she spent twenty-two days in solitary confinement for refusing to sign draconian bail conditions. She explains how the Australian government has deployed a loophole in the criminal system in order to charge activists with the serious crime of incitement. Other topics covered in this ‘The Defender Show’ episode include detention camps, vaccine passports and media blackouts in Australia.
