It all started when Samara Cardenas, M.D. came out in opposition to the COVID shots for her pediatric patients. Because these kids were on Medicaid, the decision not to vaccinate meant a revoked contract. She put ethics above profits and ultimately lost her practice as a result. During this week’s installment of “Pediatric Perspectives,” Dr. Cardenas talks about this tragic situation but also shares a message of hope for physicians in the new MAHA era.
