Plant-based alternatives to meat continue to rise in popularity among a large number of big brands, environmental activist groups and consumers alike. But a portion of the population — along with health advocacy groups, law firms and government representatives — have been raising concerns about the true environmental, dietary and ethical impacts of these ‘fake’ foods.
