WHO WATCH: One Health Multisectoral Collaboration Through the National Bridging Workshop (NBW))

Background:
‘The National Bridging Workshop (NBW) Programme is a Tripartite (WHO, FAO, WOAH) program focusing on the workshops sensus stricto and the subsequent implementation of the resulting NBW Roadmaps in countries, to strengthen multisectoral collaboration at the human-animal-environment interface. The NBW workshop is three-day events bringing together 50-120 national participants from public health, animal health and environment sectors, working at different levels in the country. The objective is to discuss and evaluate their current collaboration, identify how to improve it, and develop a joint consensual roadmap across the three sectors. Then implementation of the roadmaps is closely monitored, including by so called ‘NBW Catalysts’, which community of practice continues to growth. The NBW workshops have been conducted in more than 60 countries to date, and 20 catalysts are currently active.’
Objectives:
‘In this webinar, we aim to introduce the NBW program and showcase how select countries have successfully implemented the programme to improve multisectoral collaboration at the animal-human-environment interface.’
