It was 1998. Their baby, Will, was “born healthy.” However, he began manifesting signs that were problematic and he was not improving, despite treatment efforts. His parents, recognizing that something wasn’t right, took Will to an oncologist for blood testing, and he was diagnosed with a “terminal form of leukemia.” Will’s mom and dad sought out medical care, and as time went on, shocking discoveries were made about the root of the little boy’s illness.
