The Future of FEMA: Agency Perspectives With Administrator Criswell

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Next Thursday, July 13, at 10:00 AM ET, the House Homeland Security Subcommittee on Emergency Management and Technology, led by Chairman Anthony D’Esposito (R-NY), will hold a hearing with testimony from Administrator Criswell regarding her vision for the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) moving forward and to examine President Biden’s Fiscal Year 2024 budget request for FEMA.

“FEMA has a crucial role in ensuring the resiliency of our communities following natural disasters and even terrorist attacks on the homeland. In next week’s hearing, I look forward to hearing from Administrator Criswell on ways to increase our nation’s disaster mitigation and response posture, especially as a busy hurricane season begins,” Chairman D’Esposito said. “This Committee must examine ways to better equip and maintain accountability from this agency to ensure it properly delivers for the American people.”
