Carter was 18 months old at the time of receiving a chickenpox vaccine. The following day, his mother went into labor, and Carter started showing symptoms of shingles. They struggled to find an explanation or diagnosis for the reaction from the doctor and were even suggested to continue immunizing the child despite his illness. His mother tells the story in this CHD.TV interview.
