Big Tech is at it again with new smart glasses that equip users with audio, video, and live streaming capabilities. While people are beaming with excitement over the spy-like glasses from the @Ray_Ban + @Meta collaboration, this revolutionary technology has several significant problems. Chief among them is the lack of informed consent from bystanders, including children, being recorded with no knowledge. The ethical implications could be severe.
Where is the footage going? Who has access to it? Will it be used to surveil the public? Is this another way for Big Tech to gain entry into your everyday life?
