Jury Sides With Hospital in Wrongful Death Case; Girl’s Family, Lawyer React to Verdict

‘A landmark medical malpractice trial has come to its conclusion in Appleton, Wisconsin. The family of 19-year-old Grace Schara, who had Down syndrome, filed a civil wrongful death lawsuit against Ascension St. Elizabeth Hospital, claiming the doctors and nurses who cared for her violated her rights by listing her as "do not resuscitate" without the family's consent and giving her a lethal cocktail of drugs that led to her death. But in the end, the jury sided with the hospital. FOX 11's David Go spoke with Schara's family and their lawyer after the verdict.’
