The Amish are often viewed as a remnant who represent the resistance against Big Education, Big Pharma, Big Food and Big Tech. Even their livelihoods, however, are under attack. Freedom to “opt out” is rarely granted in modern times, especially for those holding true to their traditions, their values, their practices and beliefs. After interacting with members of these long-established communities on their farms and at their schools and places of worship, Tracy Thurman has become a strong advocate for food sovereignty and the right to say no to so-called societal “advancements.” To learn more about various threats to “unconventional” living, watch Tracy’s presentation on CHD.TV.
